Posted on 18 June 20205 August 2020Everything’s Coming Up Roses View this post on Instagram It’s Thursday already, and, ahead of registration opening next week, here’s a #sneakypeek of our online school’s page for Beginning Bibliographic Models. I had diligently looked out an image of a post-it note activity on WEMI and WII but @suzyredred, who took some time out from her day job to share some of her expertise with me, said the school’s look and feel should reflect my personality and the images should be less literal. So, roses from my garden it is. What do you reckon? I’ve got other rose pictures for Beginning Bibliography and Beginning Cataloguing Rare Books which are the next two courses we’re developing. #beginningcataloguing #beginningbibliographicmodels #beginningcataloguingonlineschool #buildingmybusiness #branding #mygardentoday #roses #pinkroses #thinkpink A post shared by Beginning Cataloguing (@beginningcataloguing) on Jun 18, 2020 at 12:38am PDT
Posted on 9 June 20205 August 2020Launching Soon: Our Online School View this post on Instagram This week I’m starting to set up the Beginning Cataloguing school on teachable.com. Our first course will run in July, at the discounted price of £75 for 12-15 hours of asynchronous online learning. Beginning Bibliographic Models covers the developments from the monolithic card and dictionary catalogue through Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) to the IFLA Library Reference Model (IFLA-LRM) and RDA (current and beta). We also look at MARC and Bibframe. Watch this space (and beginningcataloguing.com) for more details as registration date approaches. #cataloguing #cataloging #beginningcataloguing #beginningcataloguingonlineschool #beginningbibliographicmodels #cardcatalogue #cardcatalog #FRBR #IFLALRM #AACR2 #iSBD #RDA #MARC21 #bibframe #comingsoon #buildingmybusiness A post shared by Beginning Cataloguing (@beginningcataloguing) on Jun 9, 2020 at 12:18am PDT
