✨✨✨Huge thanks to Emma Booth for her brilliant lunchtime seminar on Metadata Matters. ✨✨✨ There’s so much Emma has learned in her cataloguing career since I took this photo a few years ago, and so many great projects she’s worked on @officialuom. I think you can see the focus and attention to detail even back then in this old photo. Heather Jardine (retired Head of Bibliographic Services at the City of London) always said cataloguing is about the attitude, and I think we saw that today – in Emma and in all the seminar participants. The passion for helping other people find things keeps our eyes on the details some others miss! The Independent Libraries Association has accepted our offer of a free place for one of their members on Beginning Bibliography, and we’re very grateful to their committee for administering the award.

Everything’s Coming Up Roses

It’s Thursday already, and, ahead of registration opening next week, here’s a #sneakypeek of our online school’s page for Beginning Bibliographic Models. I had diligently looked out an image of a post-it note activity on WEMI and WII but @suzyredred, who took some time out from her day job to share some of her expertise with me, said the school’s look and feel should reflect my personality and the images should be less literal. So, roses from my garden it is. What do you reckon?
